for the carrots there’s a method you can do to cut them with more ease without as much danger of cutting your fingers.
when you peel them with the peeler, peel one side a little bit more to give the carrot a slightly flat surface, that way when you cut them length wise with the knife, there’s a much smaller possibility of the carrot rolling around and making you cut yourself

Yay! now delicious sides to go with my other lazy man food! love it!
@maskedmurader23 Great tip. I personally don’t use a serrated knife…but it works. But I was going to suggest the same thing. And it’s even easier (since this is a lazy man’s video after all) to, while your pealing the carrots, just peal one side a little more than the other. But either way, great tip. It definitely makes cutting carrots (or anything round) easier. Great vid, as always, Jack!
@BuschFreak5 thats what she said
can you do this with more types of veggies?
@ThorMaxx your BBQ recipe sounds real good.
Hey!
I did this with butternut squash cubes like a few weeks ago! It was fantastic! I used Basil, all-purpose, minced garlic, salt and pepper. It was sooo good. If I may make a suggestion, try preparing butternut squash on a pan, with some butter, and season it with brown sugar and cinnamon, then cook it like this! I bet it’s great!
I plan to try it soon.
iv suddenly realized that the only thing i hate about this show is because im forced to watch you taste these things. im way to lazy to make these
Carrots are really good with butter and brown sugar.
I should try this, I’ve got a bag of baby carrots in the fridge, so I need something to do with them.
Thanks for the recipe.
@jakatak69 I can tell that your usually a happy guy…
“Beautiful”
I want to try this, looks great!
now thats what im fucking talking about, nuthin better than coming home drunk to find a new lazy man episode. YOUR THE MAN JACK
Why don´t you use fresh herbs isn´t it healthier and tastier
My guess is that this would work with almost any veggie you wanted to do this with. Sweet Potato would be awesome done this way! Thx for the ideas!
hey jack, or anyone who can answer this lol is it okay to use regular salt?
With the carrot dish, if you want a slightly sweeter taste, use baby carrots. Doing so will also prevent you from having to peel, cut, and slice.
Thanks for the tips you are awesome |!!!
@lilawunder95 fresh herbs go bad to fast. I don’t use enough to make it worth while. Unless a recipe calls for a bunch of one herb, I use the dried ones. it’s way too expensive to buy a whole pack of fresh herb just to use a pinch.
@MRCOOLGAMERGUY regular salt can be too much. it’s finer salt so more sticks to the veggies. Which in turn makes it saltier. Also there is a flavor difference in table salt and rock/course salt.
Good asparagus method! That’s why I favorited this video!
Hey jack have you heard about the bullet express? I know the magic bullet failed but i have a good feeling this one is going to be successful
you should totally make clam chowder! that would be a great idea!
