Sony Walkman couldn’t kill the iPod. The palm pre couldn’t kill the iPhone and now they are going out of business. HP can only make printers and are as popular as IBM. I would b real careful throwing out “killer”. This post will be here when one of us is proven wrong.

@petergriffinlois the ipad is powerful and fast. it can stream movies in 13 sec. it can stream music in 3. I have no lag and can watch anything on a large screen. 1.5 inches is not bulky. Go to best buy and feel it. I can’t stand reading on the iphone or ipod touch. it’s way small. I like the whole page in front of me. This also makes game playing a pleasure. I can’t do a driving game on the iphone. Once again, the iphone is too small.

I admit, I like the size of the ipad. I have an iPhone and use it for everything and love the touch screen. The only thing is, since I already have an iPhone I don’t feel the need to have a giant version of the same thing. I can do all that on my iPhone anyways, the only benefit to having the ipad would be to see it larger, but that’s not something I’m going to spend $500 or so on yet.

Jack, I don’t have an iPad, but Epicurious is also available on the iPhone. I am going to start using it because, ever since watching your show, I spend much more time in the kitchen or on the grill.
@Blurgle3 I would use the zip lock method. It works great. I clean mine all the time. It’s not bad. It’s like cleaning an iphone. It’s pretty well sealed. I bought the $5 book stand made of metal with the rubber tips and that holds my ipad upright so i can work with it in the kitchen and never have to touch it.
When the iPad came out, and I heard all the negative reviews about it, I thought I wasn’t going to buy it, but now after watching this video, I think I will. I mean, that app for recipes is pretty sick, and I’m sure there are plenty of other apps that are good. I’m sure I can manage without it having a camera and a phone.
Am now just a few clicks from un-subscribing from this channel…and I love this channel. I’m glad you got yourself a iPad, but if I watch you for your cooking tips and recipes. If you, getting that iPad, turn out to be a glorified cooking-with-my-iPad-cook… I’m outta here. I know it can be a great tool, but isn’t you show suppose to be “cooking” with Jack. Not “cooking” with Jack and his iPad?
