    You can use Tomato paste but it will not have the texture and will be a smooth gravy and the taste will be a little different but definately do-able:-)

    great dish..I dont like paneer that much & cholestrol & all..I’l try this dish with tofu..But i have to saute tofu seperate to get all the water out..

    Thanks! Usually, Indian meals consist of a bread, a vegetable, a daal and rice. Tangy paneer would be appropriate as the vegetable. For a complete meal, try Varan (daal), Tandoori Roti (bread) and plain Basmati Rice. This is just a suggestion. You can make any combination.
