    I’m not sure quite how you’re managing it – perhaps it’s because you use a load of vinegar – but 99% of the time if the water is vigorously boiling, it simply blasts the egg to bits! If this method works for you, good luck and well done, but if people are having trouble with it I would strongly recommend NOT boiling the water – the bubbles should only just be leaving the bottom of the pan.

    If you think this is wrong please promises me you will never work in a kitchen professionally you turkey. You bring a boiled egg to the boil, you place a poached egg in boiling water with a touch of vinegar for two mins, if you need a private lesson just let me know lol.

    this is all wrong. this is a BOILED egg. not the same as a poached egg. you never use boiling water for a poached egg.
