do my spaghetti sauce with the sweet Italian sausage. I have a video for it. It’s flawless. Try it at home first and let me know.
another hit is my Rice Pudding. I promise it’s the best.

yeah. I guess your right. I just don’t think of family as a guest.
I thought the same thing. I friggin’ hate prunes. That is why I was totally shocked that it tasted good. I was so ready to admit I made a bowl of dog food, but then it tasted pretty darn good. LOL

If I made it again, I would add more heat to it by adding cayenne pepper. I wanted more spicy.

Prunes is an unusual ingredient for sure. I never make chili the same way twice and so maybe next time I’ll toss in some prunes. I’m always looking for new ideas. Thanks, Jack.

Here’s my recipe for Chili. It’s kinda of you classic chili:
    1 pound ground beef
    1 can diced Tomatoes
    1 can tomato paste
    1 can kidney beans
    1 medium sized onion
    1 jalapeno
2 tsp of salt (more to taste)
    1 tsp black pepper
2 green onion (right at the end)
    AND THE SECRET INGREDIENT!
    1 tbsp black strap molasses

The molasses adds both that little hint of sweetness you need and a bold flavour as well.

    Jack! Two things..
Never boil water in a microwave, this should be obvious.. Its dangerous!
Second, use fresh chillies, the flavour is that much nicer. :)

Personally, I think chili tastes better w/o any kind of beans.

@Liam892008 Never boil water in the microwave? If you’re under 12, yes, that’s a good rule of thumb.

There’s nothing wrong with boiling water in microwave, if you are safe and remember that it’ll scald on contact.

  14. rocket881 on November 22nd, 2009

@jakatak69 Letting it simmer a long time with red pepper flakes or a few seeds also brings out the spicy oils.

  15. Liam892008 on November 22nd, 2009

    Superheating.
There’s an extremely small chance that it can happen with unpurified(tap) water but its possible.
    Besides what’s wrong with a kettle :L

    Prunes…?
That’s pretty cruel to put in chili.

  17. JustNess78 on November 22nd, 2009

pretty sure that was cheese, not spit… close enough though, lol =)

  19. jakatak69 on November 22nd, 2009

  20. jakatak69 on November 22nd, 2009

I know. I hate that myself. I try to not do it and each friggin’ take, I am saying Okay. ERRRGH! I cut some of them out. It’s pretty stupid. LOL

  21. kulls13 on November 23rd, 2009

One thing I learned about boiling water in the microwave is that if you put it in too long it may not actually boil. But when you touch it, it will instantaneously boil and you can BURN your hand! But you can prevent this apparently by putting a couple chop sticks in it. I saw it on the food network.

I am in the mood for Chilli now.

Someday you should do a sandwich episode ((Because sandwiches are awesome.))
    Or a Hash episode.

Hey Jack, sorry this is a bit off topic, but my girlfriend wants me to ask you to make Philly Cheese Steaks in a future episode. We’re both big fans of the show, and even though I’m the one who really likes the steaks, I think she really wants to see you do it because we don’t have much luck finding other good cooking shows here on Youtube.

    I agree! ew.
